The Thistles had their eyes on the local community Friday night as they volunteered with local minor hockey.
Tallen Caron, Cole Bodnar, Wyatt Greer, Jack Noel and Morgan Blackwood were all at the Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena helping out with the First Shift program.
The First Shift program, put together by the NHL/NHLPA and sponsored by Bauer, is designed to not only introduce kids (and families) to the game of hockey, but also to make it more affordable by including a new set of equipment with the cost of registration.
